MALVERN Fire Station will be welcoming members of the public in when it holds its annual open day.

The event is free to attend and promises to be entertaining for all of the family.

The day, on Saturday, September 8, from 11am to 3pm, will offer fun-filled activities for everyone to enjoy including static displays and demonstrations where you can watch firefighters demonstrate how and what equipment they would use to rescue casualties from incidents.

Safety displays will also show how you can be safer at home, in your car, or on the water.

Visitors will have the chance to have a look at the impressive equipment and vehicles at the station, as well as meet the crews, and have a ride in a fire engine.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution will also be there along with mascots Wellyphant and Blaze Bear.

Visitors will be able to test their skills at a water target shooting game and refreshments will be on sale throughout the event.
