MORE than 100 residents of Malvern's Cowleigh Road and neighbouring streets came out to enjoy a community party on Sunday.
The event originated when the road was a venue for a street party in 2012 for the Queen's diamond jubilee.
Resident Charly Lowndes, one of the organisers, said: "Everyone enjoyed it so much that we have held a street party every year since them."
Folk duo Mountain Dew provided music, and were joined by a guest musician playing the hammer dulcimer.
And the dancers of Ballet Malvern, which is based in the road, also performed.
"We have a barbecue and we borrowed some tables from Holy Trinity Church, and everyone brings out some food and shares it. There is a real community spirit," said Mr Lowndes.
"Future community events will include a back-to-school barbecue in early September, a winter quiz and Christmas carol singing outside Malvern Studios."
