UPTON Tourist Information and Heritage Centre is seeking volunteers who can spare a couple of hours a week to help out.

Located in the oldest building in Upton, the Pepperpot on Church Street, the centre provides information on the area’s attractions, events, accommodation and history. Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and weekends.

Volunteer Michael Jebson, who has helped out for the last 18 years, said: “My wife Hilary and I started volunteering when we arrived in Upton as a way to get to know the town. We have since met people from all over the world and learn something new every day."

Simon Smith of Malvern Hills District Council said: “Upton Tourist Information and Heritage Centre is a hub of culture in the centre of a thriving town rich with history.

“Volunteers are an essential and much-respected part of providing a warm welcome to tourists and supplying them with all the information and advice they need.”
