HAVING been denied their two previous friendly matches as consequence of the recent floods, Malvern Town will be hoping to return to action tomorrow (Saturday) when Dudley Sports (3.00) are scheduled to visit Langland Stadium.

Town should have played Tamworth at Langland Stadium last Saturday and then visited Pegasus on Tuesday evening but both games were cancelled due to travelling problems.

Manager Paul Molloy is in the process of running the rule over several trialists but has been left frustrated at the lack of games to play them in.

Former Worcester City goalkeeper Lewis Skyers is still with the club, while Molloy continues talks with striker Andy Hodgetts.

Molloy said: "It's really put a dent in our pre-season but everybody is in the same boat. We have a lot of trialists but we haven't had a chance to see them as we have only played Ledbury. We need a game just so we can see a few players and get a few signed up."

However, captain Wes Joyce is unable to commit himself to the club next season because of work commitments.

Midfielder Rik Halion, who is suspended for the first six games of the season, is also contemplating turning his back on Malvern.

Molloy added: "Wes Joyce will sign as cover because of work commitments. Rik Halion did really well last year but he's thinking whether to play Sunday morning football instead or not."

Malvern reserves visit Feckenham tomorrow (3.30pm) in a double header with the youth team, who kick-off at 1pm.
