A FORMER mayor of Malvern who is facing charges of child pornography has resigned from Malvern Hills District Council.
Julian Roskams’ resignation was announced during a meeting of the council last night (Tuesday).
No reason was given for his resignation during the meeting.
He also resigned from Malvern Town Council over the weekend, with his resignation being effective immediately.
Roskams represented the West ward on the district council.
Roskams, aged 53, of Worcester Road, Malvern, is on bail after being charged with six counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
He will next appear at Worcester Crown Court on March 20.
