A SUNDAY arts fair is being organised to bring art, music and visitors into Malvern at the end of July.

The arts fair on Sunday, July 29, is being organised by the High Street UK - Great Malvern project, a new initiative to help rejuvenate the town centre.

The venue for the fair will be the top of Abbey Road, near the museum, where the monthly farmers market takes place and on the Belle Vue Terrace steps, opposite the Post Office.

The fair will run from 10am until 4pm and musical entertainment will be organised to link up the two areas.

Around 20 artists and craftsmen will be involved and town centre shop keepers will be asked if they could open in support. Most eating places in the town centre already open on Sundays.

"We're getting an enthusiastic responce from those interested in being involved," said one of the arts fair organisers Carol Wild.

Artists with high quality, traditional or contemporary, work to exhibit or sell who would be interested in taking part can email the organisers Carol Wild and Geraldine Williams for further information on carolwild@tiscali.co.uk.

The High Street UK - Great Malvern project was set up by the Civic Trust to liase with the community and local councils and help rejuvenate Malvern town centre.
