The Wellington Heath Christian Aid annual house-to-house collection once again broke records, raising £509.71 (last year £460.48). In addition, 42 per cent of donations were gift-aided, which means that an amount equal to nearly one third of those donations will be added by the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to the donor. Last year Christian Aid gained an extra £1.1 million on the national house-to-house collection in this way, so it is well worth gift-aiding if appropriate. Many thanks to all those who gave and those who collected.
