THERAPISTS from London, Birmingham and Sheffield visited the Malvern-based charity ARCOS to learn about the latest treatment technique.
Facial Oral Tract Therapy is used to deal with disturbances in facial expression, oral movement, swallowing, breathing, voice and speech production caused by neurological conditions.
While the visitors were at the charity's headquarters in Avenue Road, Malvern mayor Cynthia Palmer dropped by to meet them and find out about what they were learning.
Course instructor Margaret Walker said: "ARCOS is the only place in Britain that is qualified to teach this therapy, although there are others in Europe.
"The trainees spent three days working in hospital and on the last two days of the course did case studies based on their own patients."
