POLICE are appealing for witnesses after valuable horticultural equipment was stolen from a business unit near Upton.
Thieves used a stolen JCB which had registration plates ending in GWM to enter the secure unit at Ryall, between 11pm on Sunday, October 23, and 9am the next day.
They then used the JCB to load machinery onto a stolen Layland Daf lorry with a registration plate ending in WHY before leaving. The lorry was later found burned out, but the machinery was not with it.
The haul included a Bomford Wren flail hedge-cutter, a Nixon wood-chipper, a Fleming Top 3 grass topper, a Fleming Top 5 grass topper, a Tym power loader with brackets and bucket, a Del Morino STB 125 stone burier and a Del Morino flail mower.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence or has been offered any of the machinery for sale.
If you have any information which could help with the investigation, please call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 130S of October 24.
