THE brilliant, welcoming faces of the sunflowers, which line and disguise the long fence, were at their best when the judges from the Malvern Residents in Bloom competition arrived. The latter complimented our standards throughout and awarded a Highly Commended in the Assisted Garden category, to one of our residents. They declared Clarence Park the overall winner in the Best Hanging Basket display and we are truly proud of our front porch entrance with its summer arrangements of tubs, boxes & baskets; it is well worth a stroll up the short path from the Worcester Road to enjoy them.
We welcome everyone to our first ever Barn Dance which will be held on Saturday, August 13 from 7.30pm. Life of Riley will be in charge and tickets are £4.
From 10am -1pm on Saturday August 27 there will be another of our famous cake sale. Funds will be raised for Sight Concern & Cancer Research. The latter will also have its own stall and there will be an assortment of others, including jewellery. Please come and support both these worthwhile causes and admire our floral decorations en route.
