Tonight was our 'garden party' meeting. We assembled in the village hall as normal and were greeted by Joy who informed us of the topics discussed at the recent comittee meeting - more volunteers are needed to help on the W.I. stall at the Party in the Park on Saturday and Denman college are request donations for the upkeep of the building being the main ones. Then in bright sunshine we headed just next door to Sheila's large and lovely garden where we strolled round admiring her flowers and her very contented free ranging hens. Then we sat to enjoy a cup of tea and delicious home made scones with fresh cream and strawberries. A most enjoyable evening and many thanks to Sheila for the loan of her garden.
Our next meeting will be Thursday 4th August.
