Poet, Philip Wells visited The Chase on 25th and 26th May and ran two excellent morning workshops for Year 7 students. Harnessing their knowledge of local place names and the power of poetic rhythm, as exemplified by John Masefield, Philip enabled pupils to produce some excellent work. He is the latest in a long line of poets attached to the Ledbury Poetry Festival to visit The Chase. The workshops, held in the school library, were most enjoyable and the students produced poems of which they may be justly proud.
