A VENUE in the centre of Malvern will be holding its first designer-maker crafts fair at the weekend.
The event is at Elmslie House, in Avenue Road, on Sunday, February 28 form 11am to 5pm.
Organiser Anna Taylor said: "We have 14 makers, all ladies, and we have timed the market to be close to Mothering Sunday. There will be lots of great ideas for presents here.
"We do not charge admission, nor do we charge the makers for being here; it’s very much an attempt to promote designer-makers and craft to the public."
Among the crafts which will be on display are hand-printed textiles, stained and fused glass, embroidery, jewellery and ceramics.
"I have tried to select both local makers and makers from further afield, some of whom will be staying with us, also free of charge, to get the very best makers represented," said Mrs Taylor.
"In order to cover our costs, we will be running a tearoom with cakes, all of which will be made by me."
