ON Sunday, September 6 a special very well attended service was held in Lansdowne Methodist Church in recognition of Professor Barry Jones having completed 50 years service as a Methodist Local Preacher.
During the service Barry received a Certificate recognising the achievement.
A number of family members and friends took part in the service, the sermon being preached by one of Barry's daughters who is in training to become a Methodist Minister.
The service was followed by sharing refreshments which included a special cake.
It was a very enjoyable and meaningful evening celebration.
