LOVE and Devotion is the theme of the Hills Singers’ concert at Christ Church on Saturday, April 18.
The programme includes a wealth of uplifting music, both sacred and secular, featuring favourite composers such as Rutter, Cole Porter, Vaughan Williams, Monteverdi and Purcell. In addition, the lesser known but wonderfully mesmerising Totus Tuus by Gorecki is also being performed alongside madrigals, folk songs and songs from the shows.
The Hills Singers have been making music together for 22 years and throughout that time have been inspired by their Musical Director Carol Green. Their broad repertoire includes both serious and lighter music, and they have performed with English Touring Opera and the Armonico Consort at Malvern Theatres.
This concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost just £10, or £5 for students. They are available at the door or in advance from Angela Green (07756 722426) and Sarah Musgrave (07715 562311).
