I ENCOURAGE readers to sing Once in Royal David's City at this Christmas season.
When Jesus was born, a few people wanted to see him. Wise men went down on their knees at the sight of him. Shepherds returned to work from the stable with a song in their hearts. Years later some Greeks said "We would like to see Jesus." Our Lord told people "Blessed are those who have not seen me and yet believe." The Christmas hymn points forward to Jesus. "Our eyes at last shall see him, for our Lord is in heaven above."
