EACH December Lunch Boxers look forward to the visit from the children of the Parish School in Manby Road to give us a Christmas Concert to round off the year’s programme.
This year the choir was made up of children from years 4, 5 and 6 and was led by Mrs Allen. The music accompaniment was arranged by Mr Hart.
The choir has been practising for taking part in the Schools’ Concert at the NEC in the New Year and were in good voice.
They started off with three exciting songs before singing three well known carols; they finished up with a round song which tested their versatility.
Their performance was lively and enthusiastic and should bode well for their concert in the New Year. It was a polished performance and everyone should be congratulated.
The next Lunch Box will be on Thursday, January 8 when we will be entertained with a Duet Recital by Elaine Fleming and Jane Field accompanied by John Swindells.
The recital starts at 1pm – refreshments at 12.30pm – all welcome – no charge.
