ON Tuesday, July 1 outgoing Inner Wheel President, Charmain Selkirk, handed over her chain of office to incoming president, Sylvia Miles but not before presenting a cheque for £2,000 to Dr Chaudhari of Malvern Community Hospital for The Ease The Pain Campaign.
The money was raised mainly through a glamorous and glittering Champagne Cocktails and Cabaret Evening when Dominic Matos performed as Ethel Merman.
New President, Sylvia's charity for the year will be Kaleidoscope Breakaway.
Already a cheque for £500 has been presented to Diana Maiden who runs the charity for disabled children.
Sylvia has an interesting programme planned for the year and said 'We hope to combine fund-raising with lots of fun and fellowship and we do hope that the people of Malvern support us in our ventures as money raised is ploughed back into the community."
