THE organisation running Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital is predicting it will end this financial year with a deficit of £9.8 million.
A report presented at a meeting of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust on Wednesday, May 28 showed the organisation was already £200,000 behind its forecast just one month into the year but bosses said they hoped this could be clawed back later in the year.
The trust ended the 2013/14 financial year with a £14.2 million deficit, £2.2 million more than was predicted.
