A TALENTED young musician took the next steps in his emerging career as he bids to raise funds for a new piano.
Chase School pupil Kyle Hutchings, aged 13, wowed a crowd of about 50 people as he tickled the ivories in the school's main hall on Wednesday, April 30 and his performance was warmly greeted with a standing ovation.
The teenager won a national scholarship with internationally renowned concert pianist Richard Meyrick but only has a honky-tonk piano to practice on at his home in Kipling Close, Malvern, and used the event to raise funds to help him pursue his dream.
Kyle's father, Lee Hutchings, said the concert went "extremely well" and the family wanted to thank the audience and school for their generosity.
"I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody that came and those who made it possible. I do have a feeling that this could be the start of Kyle's career."
The teenager's concert programme included works by Mozart, Chopin, Grief and Beethoven
