A special profile for our Very Malvern Christmas campaign
Iapetus gallery in Great Malvern is where you’ll discover jewellery, homeware, gifts, stationery, cards and art, all hand-crafted with love, skill and a dose of quirkiness by more than 150 artists.
Established in 2005 in Great Malvern by husband and wife team Chris Marks and Anna Brook, iapetus started life as a little gallery specialising in jewellery. The range quickly expanded to include all sorts of handmade goodies, and in 2008 iapetus moved to a much larger space in Belle Vue Terrace and an online presence at iapetus.co.uk.
The ethos behind the business has always been to offer something outside the usual mass-produced fare of many high-street gift shops; to bring unusual and unique items that make exceptional and special gifts. The work on sale is carefully chosen to meet high standards of quality and ethical production and – most importantly – to put a smile on customers’ faces. You’ll also find inspiring gifts to suit your festive budget, whether big or small.
A key passion of the team is knowledge about each and every item on offer – every staff member goes through a three-month training period to learn about the crafts and their makers.
This means that visitors can expect a different shopping experience – to learn a little about how their chosen items are made and the concepts behind them, as well as a warm and friendly welcome.
iapetus are open everyday until Christmas – see www.iapetus.co.uk for opening hours. You can also shop online and click and collect up to 2pm on Christmas Eve.
