COUNCILLOR John Campion talks about Worcestershire County Council’s bid to sell off land adjacent to Malvern Cube for housing in that curiously clinical language officials use when they are trying to make bad news more palatable – “disposal of the surplus”.
Contrary to being “surplus”, many local people, and now Malvern Hills District Council see the land as a valuable community asset and vital green lungs in a town which is rapidly disappearing under the weight of development.
