I WAS among the large audience who enjoyed the inaugural concert on Sunday given by the newlyformed offshoot of the ESO, the English Salon Orchestra in the impressive surroundings of Stanbrook Abbey, near Malvern.
It was a most delightful evening of light music favourites expertly performed by this new ensemble.
The ESO certainly seems to be rejuvenating itself under its new musical director and, hopefully, will soon regain its rightful place among the leading musical organisations in Malvern.
Well done ESO! I look forward to the Salon Orchestra’s next concert in December.
