JUNE Mason welcomed members and Christine Hickman-Smith, chairman of Worcestershire Federation, who had come along to officiate at the AGM meeting.

June mentioned a coffee morning on Wednesday, to be hosted by Ellen and Peggy from 10.30am in aid of Leigh Church Organ Fund.

Mary Fynn reported on the Spring Meeting at Six Ways on April 25. Mary Rhodes, BBC Midlands area presenter, had been most entertaining and the lunch excellent.

June 4 – Gardeners Question Time – open meeting with Karl of Bransford Nurseries, in support of Stella Hewitt’s Charity for Assistance Dogs.

The President then handed the meeting over to Christine Hickman-Smith.

Christine explained about the financial support WF will be giving to the Worcestershire Breast Care Unit, and the exciting plans in hand for the National Federation’s 100th anniversary celebrations in 2015.

Following written nominations a secret ballot was held, and June Mason was voted president. June introduced Peter King, who gave members an overview of the Neighbourhood Development Plan and how parishioners can be involved in the process.

Following a vote of thanks to Peter, members enjoyed the yummy puddings.
