CHRISTIAN Aid Week ended on Sunday after the doorto- door collections had been made by church volunteers.
A commissioning service was held last Sunday evening at St Matthias’ church in the Link, led by Reverend Peter Knight.
Guest speaker was Rachel Tween from the Birmingham Office who gave the address and showed a DVD of Christian Aid’s work with partners in Africa – especially with using the building of a sand dam to enable the people to grow their own food.
At the end of the service Elizabeth Deeks was presented with a bouquet of flowers for her work over many years as organiser for Christian Aid in the Malvern area.
