AT the AGM on Thursday, May 2, members were pleased to welcome Patience Broad, chairman of the Worcestershire Advisory Committee, who took members through the new constitution. The members voted unanimously to accept, with one abstention.
Members then discussed the national proposal on high street shopping before a secret ballot was held. The results will be taken by Lillian Angell, from the Wyche and Wells WI, who kindly attended the meeting, and was given power to vote on members’ behalf if any amendments are made.
After delicious, and much needed, refreshments, Patience gave advice on using a very useful website, Moodle, and details of computer classes available locally to help get up to speed with the new younger members coming into the WI nationally.
The meeting concluded with the election of officers and the committee.
