MAY I take this opportunity to thank you for a wonderful day out.
I was fortunate to win a family ticket to the 1940s weekend at the steam railway at Toddington.
What an adventure. We were very soon caught up in the atmosphere when issued with our identity cards by some very smart military men overseen by the village constable!
Ladies in gorgeous hats and fur stoles clutching picnic baskets jostled with us for a place on the train.
Fullmarks to the organisers and here’s hoping they do it again soon.
