PEOPLE with a real fire or wood-burning stove are being advised to book an appointment to clean their chimneys after fire crews were called to five chimney fires in 24 hours.
Call-outs on Wednesday, April 3, included a chimney fire at a property in Hollybed Street in Castlemorton at 4.30pm, a chimney fire in Welland Road, Upton-upon-Severn, at 9.50pm and a fire in the roof space of a property in Upper Broadheath, Worcester, at 3.10am on Thursday, believed to have been caused by heatpfrompthe chimney.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Services was also called to incidents in Eastnor.
