SNOW affected the Paperstation Malvern League Division Two matches but Crackpots ‘B’ managed two fixtures.

Their first against Manor Park Travellers saw Crackpots’ Ted Cates take the first set of the evening in straight games.

But, despite four other sets going to four games, Travellers were too strong for them with a 9-1 triumph.

Ken Hipwell won two with Martin Snee and Toby Wren bagging three each and the doubles.

In their second match, CSSC Nomads were a player short so Crackpots were gifted three victories and Cates was again their best player with one success.

But Dave Hayes won three, Adrian Fray two and together they took the doubles for Nomads, leaving Crackpots with two defeats after a 6-4 loss.

Poolbrook Rangers had a slender 6-4 victory over YMCA Vulcans when the doubles gave them the points.

Matt Lang claimed three singles and the doubles with Richard Cullis who also took a singles set as did Nick Haggar.

John Cawthra and Richard Bennett both won two singles for Vulcans.

Paul Lythgoe was the best player for Devils with three victories in an overall 7-3 success over Poolbrook Panthers.

Liz Hallam and Denis Chetwood added two each but Panthers’ Robert Weston replied with two successes and partnered Jude Tyson to take the doubles.
