THE recent snow provided loads of both fun and frustration for the villagers.

A couple of grand snowmen were spotted in gardens, and nearby fields were put to good use by enthusiastic young tobogganists.

At least one person slipped and fell on the icy roads but hats off to the postman who diligently continued his deliveries despite wheels that spun and slipped.

The 675 bus-driver also deserves a mention of thanks: we were glad to be able to get into town for supplies.

The Walking Club had to cancel the walk to Tardebigge because of the icy conditions.

The Pool Piece project is still ongoing: daffodils and snowdrops are to be planted, and hopefully birds and insects will be attracted to the area.

We are assured that the willow tree which was so drastically cut back (due to top-heavy or diseased upper branches) will re-grow.
