JOHN Asquith gave an informative and very humorous talk on Scandinavia at the January meeting of Parkway WI.
Members learned about 10,000 year old cave paintings, why Trolls only come out at night and how electrical engineering innovations prevent downpipes from freezing up in the regions ferocious winters.
The next meeting of Parkway WI will be on February 12 and Mr A Conway will be talking about his year as mayor.
This will also be Parkway’s 67th Birthday. Competition: a pretty candle.
Parkway WI meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the Baptist Church rooms in Ledbury, from 2pm.
New members and visitors are very welcome.
