UNEXPECTEDLY the original speaker was unable to make it, so at the very last minute a gentleman came to speak about Buddy Holly.
It was a most entertaining talk, taking members back to their teenage years, with photographs of his trip to the USA on the 40th anniversary of his death in a plane crash on a very snowy night. He also played his guitar and sang some of Buddy Hollys songs... altogether a very good afternoon.
The next meeting is on Tuesday and is entitled Christmas Craft. All are welcome and we start at 2.15pm.
