T is summer show time for the Jane Lush Drama Players tonight (Friday, July 16) with two productions at Holy Trinity Parish Hall.

The junior players will be presenting a self-devised adventure story called The Land Over The Wall in which a young girl discovers a hidden kingdom inhabited by unusual creatures.

The senior group will be presenting a selection of scripted and self-devised material, both comical and serious.

The drama group, run by Jane Lush, meets weekly on Fridays and is open to youngsters aged from 5 to 16.

“The group has been running for 12 years and we do two performances a year, one at Christmas and one in the summer,” said Jane.

“They have really enjoyed putting this summer show together. They have devised it and written it and rehearsed it all themselves.”

She said she was led by the interests of the group and there was lots of improvising and opportunities for the children to develop their creativity.

The two Summer Showtime productions are being performed for family and friends this evening.

The group is always happy to welcome new members. For more information call Jane Lush on 07817 569191.
