THE Travelling Wilbury’s were perhaps the ultimate supergroup, and now the band’s legacy will be celebrated with a show at The Courtyard, in Hereford.

This July it will be three decades since the first album was released from The Wilburys, and a tribute show will revive the magic, in a musical journey down Memory Lane.

A spokesman said: “The tribute group will take audiences on a journey through the story of the Wilburys. With expert narrative and big screen action, this 30th Anniversary Special is unmissable.

“The performance will be particularly special as it gives the audience the chance to experience live music from The Wilburys, who never went on tour.”

The spokesman added: “Featuring tributes to Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan, the band will perform with Travelling Wilbury classics such as Handle with care, End of the Line, Wilbury Twist, Heading for the Light, Tweeter and the Monkey Man, Nobody’s Child, Last Night and many more.

“Unique to this production are five authentic Lookalike-Sound-alike’s to the famous Travelling Wilburys, enabling the show to explore the Solo hits of the Famous Five. This up-beat celebration of classic pop music will have audiences singing and dancing.”

The date for the Roy Orbison and the Travelling Wilburys Experience is Friday July 27, at 7.30pm. Tickets on 01432 340555.
