Benidorm Live is based on the television series written and adapted by Derren Litten wowed the crowd on the opening night.

On stage are six stars of the last series from the Solana - Mateo, Jacqueline, Liam, Joyce Temple-Savage, Sam and Kenneth who ensured two hours of non-stop holiday sunshine. Innuendo galore, rubbish hotel staff, mistaken identity, holiday romance, singing, dancing and gay Derek...

Will the Solana be saved from closure? Joyce Temple-Savage (Sherrie Hewson) the hotel's long serving manager does everything she can to save jobs.

Larger than life Bleached Whale Kenneth (Tony Maudsley) owner of the salon to the stars Blow & Go has a perfect chemistry with I'm not gay homesick Liam (Adam Gillen) whilst  gay Derek has the hots for Kenneth.

There is so much more to Mateo (Jake Canuso) the Spanish barman when he is showcased in the cabaret.

Swinger Jacqueline (Janine Duvitski) is outstanding, incredibly funny throughout, omg when she was bouncing around the stage after the interval I had tears of laughter running down my cheeks.

Designer Mark Walters inventive rotating set is cool as it seemlessly transports you from reception to the bar and pool area, Blow & Go Salon and Temple-Savage's office.

Listening to comments as we left the theatre there is no doubt that this production is a huge hit everyone loved it - it delivers what is says on the tin 'Benidorm Live' and does it brilliantly.

Runs until Saturday, 23rd November.
