Danny Dyer will soon be seen shouting “Craig Revel Horwood” at a tree in EastEnders.
Sadly, this is not because Mick Carter has chased the Strictly Come Dancing judge into hiding after a bout of particularly harsh comments to wife Linda Carter – Strictly contestant Kellie Bright.
No, instead it’s because Carmel Kazemi (Bonnie Langford) will be returning to Albert Square with her cat – who she’s named after a certain choreographer on her favourite TV programme!
In what will be one of the more surreal scenes in EastEnders of late, EastEnders producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins explained: “Carmel is about to come back with her cat Craig Revel Horwood.
“She’s a big Strictly fan, and it will lead to an amazing scene where you will get Danny Dyer and Linda Henry [Shirley Carter] shouting ‘Craig Revel-Horwood’ trying to coax a cat down from a tree.”
