A NEW exhibition of contemporary illustration opened at Malvern’s No.4A Gallery on Saturday.
Storylines is the first of its kind in Malvern and will feature work by four established illustrators who combine the traditional skills of drawing and visual storytelling with modern working methods.
Featuring a mix of paintings, drawings, original prints and handmade books, the illustrators are showing work on a personally selected theme including the story of a 17th century storm, contemporary folk songs and 1940s wedding photos.
Kay Bainbridge Wilkinson, founder of No.4A Gallery and a resident artist, said: “Illustrators are now getting the recognition they deserve.”
Storylines will run until July 19, Thursday to Saturday, between 11am and 3pm.
