AUDITIONS are being held for children’s parts in the pantomime Dick Whittington at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury.
This will be a professional pantomime from the creators of the BBC show The Tweenies and children are needed for the chorus, which will feature in many of the panto’s big musical numbers.
The auditions are being held at the theatre on Saturday, July 18, at 10.30am and the panto itself runs for 58 performances between November 27 and January 2. Two teams of children will share alternating performances.
The rehearsals start on Monday, November 8, and will be held on most days after school and on Saturday mornings.
To take part children will need to be free throughout the rehearsal and performance period and will need to be able to take time off school for final rehearsals and scheduled matinees in December and January.
Children, boys and girls, should be aged nine-15 and able to sing and dance. Everyone should be prepared to stay until 1.30pm on the day and come dressed for a dance audition.
