THERE is still the chance to grab a covid jab at walk-in clinics in Worcestershire today (Friday) and this weekend.

People can pick up a booster jab as well as first and second doses from several venues with some sessions running until 8pm.

David McDowell, patient quality manager at Worcester City PCN, said: “The uptake for booster vaccines in Worcester really has been amazing—frankly, we’ve been blown away by it, with patients coming forward in their thousands to protect themselves and their community against Covid-19.

"But there are still eligible patients out there who haven’t yet had their booster dose—so we’d encourage them to come forward as soon as they’re able.

“We’ve also seen a number of patients coming to us for their first dose over the last few weeks—which is fantastic.

"Anyone who is yet to receive a covid vaccine—for any reason—is welcome at any vaccination centre, any time.

"Even if you’re not sure it’s right for you, our clinicians will be more than happy to discuss your options with you and help you make an informed choice about your health.

"With fantastic capacity at our sites this weekend, there’s no better time to do so, and we’d be delighted to see you there.”
