The Worcestershire Education Awards 2022 is still accepting nominations from people looking to give recognition to those doing incredible work in education.

The Worcester News has teamed up with the University of Worcester to repeat the awards scheme which recognises the efforts of our educational establishments in Worcestershire.

Members of the public, teachers, pupils, staff and parents have been sending in their nominations for those who have gone above and beyond throughout the last year.

There are 12 categories in the Worcestershire Education Awards 2022 to nominate for. They are:

  • Lockdown Hero award
  • Headteacher of the Year
  • Teacher / Lecturer of the Year
  • New Teacher of the Year
  • Support Staff of the Year
  • Early Years Education/Primary School of the Year
  • Middle/Secondary School of the Year
  • Independent School of the Year
  • Special Educational Needs Award
  • College or Post-18 Education & Training Provider of the Year Award
  • Star Student (under 16) of the Year
  • Star Student (over 16) of the Year

2022 will be the fourth year for the Worcestershire Education Awards.

The winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony in early 2022.

The closing date for the nominations will be on Friday December 31, with the cut-off point being 12 noon.
