The Worcestershire Homeless appeal has been donated the funds for a new 'chiller van' after launching a JustGiving appeal online.

The new van was funded by fellow charitable organisation Socks & Chocs, which works to relieve hardship and distress among homeless people and people living in adverse housing conditions. And was delivered on Wednesday December 22.

The organisation use the van to help transport food parcels for vulnerable families and the homeless across the county.

Alongside the donation for the van, businesses in the local commuity stepped up to provide their support and donations.

“Staff from DNA Automotive Solutions in are also helping us out tonight with the food parcels and they always help us out with van maintenance.

“The Droitwich Baptist church have allowed us to sue their hall for our pop up pantry this evening and the Droitwich Foodbank have also been helping us out.”

The Worcestershire Homless Appeal has also donated over 700 presents to children across the county, and will be continuing with more.
