It will be cold too, with the maximum temperature sitting at 5 °C.
Tonight will see the conditions ease, remaining drier and clearer overnight with blustery showers of heavy rain, hail and a risk of hill snow throughout the night.
It will remain cold, with a minimum temperature of 2 °C.
Wednesday will see sunny spells with blustery showers of heavy rain and some hail.
Some snow over hills is possible, though conditions will be calmer than on Tuesday.
