WITH SUMMER finally feeling like it is here to stay and a heatwave set to hit us this weekend we have put together a round up of fun water activities less than 30 minutes away from Worcester for all the family to enjoy.

Temperatures in the county are set to reach a scorching 27 degrees on Sunday - here are all the best spots to cool off.

1. Droitwich Lido

Droitwich is the only lido in the West Midlands where you don't need to be a member to use it.

The pool is 40 metres long and is next to a Wet Play Area for children, full of water cannons and fountains plus a cafe too.

Visitors will have to pre-book via the website so numbers can be controlled.

2. Splashpad

This popular water play feature for toddlers to early teens can be found in Gheluvelt Park area which also boasts an ice cream shack, toilets, play park and a brook brimming with wildlife.

To keep to Covid guidelines a maximum of 20 people will be allowed in at any one time and the park asks that you limit your visit to 30 minutes during busy times.

3. Fountains

A popular Worcester beauty spot alongside the River Severn and with Brown's at the Quayside right next to the fountains the perfect destination for a family afternoon out.

4. Malvern Splash

Malvern Splash recently completed a £2 million revamp with a host of new facilities.

Among the changes are a new flume, interactive water play features for young swimmers and a new wave machine to ‘enhance the experience for swimmers’.

To swim you must pre-book via the website.

5. Aztec Adventure Park

Worcestershire Aztec Adventure Aqua Park is based in the Activity Centre on Worcester Road, Bromsgrove.

The floating aqua park can accommodate up to 80 guests at any one time. Pre-booking is essential via the website. One hour on the park costs £15 per person.
