Riverside Home Care ltd based in Stourport is backing prestigious awards that recognise the best of Worcestershire's carers.

Riverside Home Care Ltd is proudly sponsoring the domiciliary care category in this year’s Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards.

Charlotte Keen, Riverside Home Care’s Recruitment and Media Manager, said “We are delighted to be able to support the awards this year and give thanks to those who have worked tirelessly throughout the last year and the pandemic”

Riverside is a long established and trusted domiciliary care provider based in Stourport. Their sole aim is to provide high quality, person centred and practical care services for people in their own homes. Working alongside their service users and promoting their independence, respecting individuality, dignity and privacy. The business has provided support for elderly people living independently in Bewdley, Stourport and Kidderminster since 2004.

Riverside aims to get away from the care sector stereotype of large organisations with overworked and undervalued staff, Charlotte Keen said “I am always told the same story when taking calls from candidates that they work long hours, are travelling all over the county and sometimes with no breaks in between and that they feel at breaking point, it’s really sad to hear. It’s one of the many great things about Riverside that we operate within a much smaller area and give staff the time they need for travelling between calls which minimises their stress and anxiety and therefore making for a happier work force”

Care workers have been on the frontline in the battle to beat coronavirus and Riverside Home Care believes sponsoring the awards is a good way to recognise those heroes and a great way to promote the fantastic work achieved across all sectors of the healthcare industry

Charlotte Keen Said "Working in home care services is a truly rewarding job and you really are making a difference each day to people’s lives, I know at Riverside we all enjoy our roles and working together as one big team to make sure we are providing the kind of service we would want for our own family members or friends”

There are 12 categories in the Worcestershire Health & Social Care Awards 2021.
