WORCESTER Wolves boss Paul James admits ensuring his players do not pick up any injuries is "more important" than producing a winning display at Glasgow Rocks tomorrow (5pm).
Wolves make the long journey north to the Emirates Arena looking to deny Glasgow a clean sweep of victories over them in the British Basketball League this season.
But with the play-offs starting next week James said he would rather see his troops return home unscathed than defeat Rocks.
“It would be good to get a win,” James said.
“But it’s more important to come through unscathed and make sure you go into the play-offs with a fully-fit team as nobody wants any injuries at this crucial stage.”
Rocks defeated Wolves in Worcester twice this season 82-76 in November and 86-83 in February.
“Glasgow have cemented their play-off spot and it looks like they are going to finish in the top four,” James added.
“They are a very solid team and it is always hard to go to a place like that and perform after an early start and a long journey.
“But we are going to give it our best shot.”
