FORMER Worcester Wolves captain Ashton Khan has begun the next chapter of his career in Portugal after signing for Sport Club Lusitânia.
The 26-year-old point guard spent two-and-a-half seasons at the University of Worcester Arena, racking up 87 appearances.
But he stunned Wolves’ fans when he announced his departure after helping to guide the club to the BBL Cup final last month.
Khan has now made the move to Sport Club Lusitânia and made his debut in their 115-113 defeat at Barreirense last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Dallin Bachynski has been selected off the bench in the British Basketball League’s All-Star Five after scoring a career high 31-point haul in Worcester’s 91-82 loss at leaders Leicester Riders.
Head coach Paul James was pipped to the Molten BBL Coach of the Month accolade for December by Leicester boss Rob Paternostro.
Wolves and Riders won all seven of their games last month.
Worcester host Bristol Flyers on Friday (7.30pm) before visiting Cheshire Phoenix in the quarter-final of the BBL Trophy on Sunday (5.30pm).
