DOUBLE centurion Callum Ferguson will be a part of the Worcestershire Rapids squad for tomorrow’s crunch Royal London One-Day Cup tie at Warwickshire (2pm).

Ferguson walloped a superb 159 not out in Sunday’s win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks at New Road.

He did not field as a precautionary measure after suffering a quad strain while batting but Rapids fans will be heartened by his presence in the 12-strong squad named by head coach Kevin Sharp for the derby trip to Edgbaston.

The squad is made up of the 11 players that defeated the Steelbacks plus fit-again England under-19 paceman Dillon Pennington.

Pennington, who played in the winter ICC World Cup in New Zealand, has recovered from an ankle injury and this week has been playing for the seconds against Nottinghamshire at Stourbridge.

Sharp is looking forward to the decisive showdown which will see the winners assured of topping the group and securing a home semi-final.

He said: “The two teams at the top of the table, it doesn’t get any better than that.

"The forecast looks okay as well so there should be a good crowd.

“I’ve seen Edgbaston under lights before and it’s a picture. It’s fantastic and I’m sure there will be a lot of people there to support the evening.

“We have a dangerous white-ball team. We’ve got a batting order that bats very deep and there is a lot of skill and power in there.

“Teams recognise that. We are becoming a team that people are really taking notice of.”
