MOEEN Ali has been named in England's 15-man squad for the ICC Champions Trophy in England and Wales during the first half of June.
The Worcestershire all-rounder could face his County team-mate John Hastings with England taking on Australia at Edgbaston on Saturday, June 10.
Moeen has been included in the squad for the Royal ODI Series against Ireland and the Royal London ODI series versus South Africa.
The 29-year-old is available for Worcestershire's opening three matches in the Royal London One-Day Cup, including Thursday's home clash with Nottinghamshire, and will be looking to be in good form for the international challenges ahead this summer.
Moeen said: "It's a massive summer for England. We've got a lot of cricket to play and I'm excited and looking forward to it.
"The Champions Trophy is going to be huge. It's what we have been building up for the last couple of years.
"As a group we've stuck together and get on really well so hopefully this can be our year."
National selector James Whitaker said: “We have made encouraging progress over the past 18 months in white-ball cricket and the squads selected reflect consistency and give options across all disciplines.
“As we build up to the ICC Champions Trophy in June matches against Ireland and South Africa are very important in their own right as we aim to win both series.”
