JAMES Scott has been recalled to the starting line-up for England Under 20s’ Six Nations decider against Ireland at the Ricoh Arena on Friday night (8pm).

The Worcester Warriors youngster replaces Sam Lewis in the second row as England look to pip France to the title.

Warriors academy duo Will Butler and Ted Hill have been named among the replacements.

England are tied on 15 points at the top and will need to better France’s result against Wales on Friday or overturn a points deficit of 66 if they are to retain their title.

England head coach Steve Bates said: “We had a very good performance in France in many areas but we know we can improve and we’ll be looking to do that on Friday against Ireland.

“We came into this tournament with a very clear objective to improve every game with the aim that we could win the Six Nations and we’ve now got to that point.

“However, we’re just focused now on Ireland and putting in a really strong performance.”

The fixture at the Ricoh Arena forms part of a double header, with England’s Women also in action against Ireland ( 5.30pm). Worcester Valkyries hooker Lark Davies has been selected on the bench.

England still have a chance of winning this season’s competition but find themselves three points behind leaders France who face Wales.
