WORCESTER Warriors have confirmed backs coach Sam Vesty and breakdown coach Simon Cross will leave at the end of the season.

Vesty, 36, has been at Sixways for five years after joining as transition coach in 2013 before being promoted to backs coach in 2015.

The former England international said: “I have really loved my time at Warriors and I’ve enjoyed working with all the players and staff.

“I want to say a huge thank you to the club for giving me the opportunity when my playing career finished.

“There have been some highs and lows with lots of comings and goings but I have learnt a lot from these experiences and take away some very fond memories.

“I want to thank the fans for their support and wish all the players and backroom staff the very best for the future. I will always look forward to coming back to Sixways.”

Cross, 37, will leave Sixways after a five-year spell.

He joined Warriors as defence coach for the 2013-14 season before combining a dual role at Warriors alongside being head coach at Birmingham Moseley.

Cross said: “I’ve enjoyed my time at Sixways and would like to place my thanks on record to everyone at the club. I wish Warriors the best of luck in the future.”

Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons said: “I’d like to thank both Sam and Simon for their hard work over the past five seasons. We wish both of them all the best in their future endeavours.”
